With profound grief, we inform you of the passing away of Wendy Anne Chaves on Friday, 14 May.
Writer, Content Creator and ‘Grandma-in-charge’ at the AMCF Catholic Communication Centre for ten years, Wendy worked with passion, dedication, and a wacky sense of humour that made every piece she wrote unique. Almost no post, video or article went out without Wendy’s seal of approval. Her words have travelled far, and have touched more lives than anyone could possibly imagine.
Wendy gave much more than just words; over the years, the CCC was blessed with her time, musical talent, limitless energy and valuable guidance. She gently pushed each person to do their best, and then go beyond. With Wendy around, conversation and ideas flowed endlessly; she greeted each new challenge with cheerful determination, and each new day with a song. Her belief and trust in God, her constant effort to understand Him better, and her keen knowledge of the faith continue to be an inspiration. She will be dearly missed by everyone working at the Catholic Communication Centre, as well as by all those who regularly interacted with the CCC.
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord,
And let perpetual light shine upon her
May her soul rest in peace, Amen.
